Print Options
Stapled booklets require specific configurations, particularly regarding page counts (which must always be a multiple of 4).
Booklet Sizes:
- A4 (210mm x 297mm) — Ideal for corporate reports, magazines, and catalogs.
- A5 (148mm x 210mm) — The most popular size for programs, booklets, and manuals.
- A6 (105mm x 148mm) — Great for pocket guides, mini-brochures, and instruction leaflets.
- Square (148mm x 148mm or 210mm x 210mm) — A modern, stylish alternative for creative portfolios.
- Available in both Portrait and Landscape orientations.
Page Count (Crucial):
- Available from 8 pages up to 64 pages (including the cover).
- Note: Total page count must be a multiple of 4 (e.g., 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, etc.).
Paper Configurations:
- Self-Covered: The cover uses the exact same paper weight as the inner pages (great for budget-friendly manuals or newsletters).
- Heavy Cover (Recommended): A thicker, more robust cardstock for the outer cover (e.g., 250gsm or 350gsm) combined with lighter inner pages (e.g., 130gsm or 150gsm) for a premium feel.
Paper Stocks & Finishes:
- Silk: A smooth, subtle sheen that brings photos and graphics to life without heavy glare.
- Gloss: Highly reflective and vibrant—perfect for image-heavy product catalogs.
- Uncoated: A matte, tactile finish that is easy to write on (ideal for workbooks or event journals).
Cover Lamination (For Heavy Covers):
- Matt Lamination: For an elegant, sophisticated, scuff-resistant protective layer.
- Gloss Lamination: For ultra-bright colors and a high-shine finish.
- Soft-Touch / Velvet Lamination: Gives the cover a luxurious, velvety texture.
Artwork
-
Page Layout: Please supply your artwork as a single, continuous PDF containing individual, sequential pages (Page 1 to the end). Do not supply your artwork as “printer pairs” or double-page spreads—our specialized software will handle the imposition for you.
-
The Rule of 4: Double-check that your total page count is exactly divisible by 4. Every sheet of paper folded in half creates 4 pages; we cannot bind numbers like 10, 14, or 18 pages.
-
Resolution: All embedded images and logos must be at least 300dpi to ensure crystal-clear printing.
-
Colour Mode: Ensure all artwork is saved and exported in CMYK color mode.
-
Bleed & Quiet Zone: * Include a 3mm bleed on all outer edges of your PDF pages.
-
Keep all critical text, page numbers, and important graphics at least 5mm to 8mm away from the edge (the quiet zone). Because booklets have multiple pages nested inside one another, pages can “creep” slightly during trimming; keeping text well away from the edges ensures nothing gets cut off.
