Artwork
To ensure your tear-off lines cut precisely between your text fields, please follow these technical guidelines:
-
Indicate the Perforation Line: On your design, please indicate exactly where you want the perforation to go by using a dashed guide line on a separate, clearly labeled layer in your artwork file.
-
The “Quiet Zone” Margin: Keep all critical text, numbers, and vital legal wording at least 4mm to 5mm away from the perforation line on both sides. This ensures that when the page is torn, no important information is clipped or lost.
-
File Format: Please supply your artwork as a press-ready, high-resolution PDF. If your form includes variable data or sequential numbering, please provide a clear starting number (e.g., “Start numbering from 0001”).
-
Bleed & Colour: Include a standard 3mm bleed on all outer edges of the document, with all elements saved at 300dpi in CMYK colour mode.
Perforated Forms
Whether you need tear-off retail vouchers, event admission tickets, multi-part business invoices, or customer feedback forms, our custom perforated printing service offers the perfect blend of utility and professionalism.
A perforation is a line of tiny, precisely spaced pierced holes added to the paper during the finishing process. This allows your customers, clients, or staff to cleanly and effortlessly tear off a specific section of the document—such as a receipt, a coupon, or a counterfoil—without ripping or ruining the rest of the form.
At Barkers Litho, we handle everything from basic single-line perforations to complex multi-line and bespoke layouts. Using high-precision automated finishing machinery at our Rochester workshop, we ensure your perforations are strong enough to keep the document securely intact during transit or handling, yet crisp enough to snap away perfectly when needed.
